2008 UPA Club Championships

The 2008 UPA Club Ultimate Championships are a brought to you by the Ultimate Players Association. More than 10,000 athletes on over 600 teams from across North America entered the UPA Championship Series in early September. Two months later only the top Ultimate teams from across North America are left. These teams will meet in Sarasota over 4 days to compete for the 2008 UPA Championship.

The UPA would like to congratulate all the qualifying teams and welcome players, volunteers, and fans to Sarasota. Find out all there is to know about the tournament, and if you can’t make it down for the event, keep up with the action through this site.

UPA Club Championships Video Highlights

Check out the latest highlights from the 2008 UPA Club Championships! Through a partnerhip with UltiVillage, the UPA presents round by round by round coverage of all divisions on the Videos page. And, for the first time ever at the Club Championships, live streaming video will be available of all four finals. Vist the Live Webcast page starting on Saturday afternoon to watch.

Rosters on Score Reporter

Who is bringing the most players to Sarasota? Who are the tallest and shortest players in the tournament? Who is number ten on El Diablo? All of these questions can be answered by checking out the team rosters on the score reporter. Just click on a team in the team page and find out the scoop on your favorite team.

Seedings and Schedules Set!

The seedings and game schedules for the 2008 UPA Club Championships are set and can be viewed on the Competition Schedules page of the tournament website. Sockeye, Fury, and DoG are all back as number one seeds as they try to defend their titles. Several new teams in the mixed division should make for some surprising results. Check out all the match-ups and get ready for a great weekend of ultimate as the 60 remaining teams try to claim the championship in their division.

The remaining regional championships played out this past weekend, and now 60 teams remain with their sights set on Sarasota, FL and the 2008 UPA Club Ultimate Championships. As usual, there will be some familiar names missing, some new teams to keep things interesting, and as always the powerhouse teams that everyone will be looking to knock off.
